That Time of Year

The garden has always been a part of my summer.
Snapping green beans was a required past time growing up, and I still find it mind numbing.
The heat from the pressure cookers is unbearable.
Cutting corn makes your hands tingle. You spend hours picking and shucking the corn in the rain, picking and snapping beans in the heat, and reaching to get the veggies, like zucchini, is often itchy and gross.
And yet,
I still love it.
I love seeing the quantity of the end product.I love the quality of taste you can only get straight from the garden. I've also always loved to see the before and after process.
And when winter comes,
I'm even more grateful for it all.

Mal! Your photography is incredible! Someday when I am grown up and going to get married, will you take pretty pictures of me? :) Seriously though... you should think about doing it professionally. Amazing
