OWOH 2011 Giveaway

Welcome!

I'm Mallory. I'm from Ohio, where I received my degree in art education. I'm now living in Idaho, while working for a non-profit for a year. I have big dreams, a little budget, and make the most of life.

I'm a sucker for blog giveaways, so it's fun to have a reason to have one myself. I participated in the One World One Heart Giveaway last year, and can't wait for this final year.

I love journals, and have more than I actually write in. So, I'm giving away this simple, paper journal with pen. I'm also putting together a mini 2week Emotional, Physical, and Spiritual (ESP) Journal to put inside. And for a happy reminder to write, I made a small leather, braided bracelet.

Something small, but hopefully kinda special. To have a chance to win the "door prize", just leave a comment, with a way to get back to you. OWOH giveaway ends February 17th. That is when I will randomly select, and announce the winner.

Thanks for stopping by, and feel free to follow me. I love guests :)

P.S. if you're curious about the ESP Journal, I'll hopefully put a template up in the next couple of weeks, with a how-to, so you can have one for yourself. Super easy, and a quick way to have a self check-in everyday.

Infestation!

If you've had this problem too, let me know what you did about it. I've been getting comments from businesses, that are making legit comments. The commenter links to a health insurance company, lab coat company, and a couple others. If it was a fellow blogger, with a shop of some sort, it would be a different story...but it's not. They say real things about the post...but for their own purposes. It's stupid and annoying. Hopefully they read this and get the hint. If not, I'll have to find some other way.

If you want to advertise like a cheapskate, it ain't going to be through me. I think if any one understands how I feel, it's this guy.

Have a nice day.

Puppy Love

 This is Sally.

 She likes to sleep.

I like to take her picture.

But I don't think she takes it very seriously.

I adopted a puppy. I love her. She is mine.

YUM. Cookies

Since I work for the Girl Scouts, I get lots of requests for cookies, or to know where to get them. Well, the time has come! Go HERE, and you can find where to get them in your area. I was once a Girl Scout, and I admire these girls for what they do. Support them, because "every cookie has a mission".

Keep Wishin' and Hopin'

This summer I was the maid of honor for my close friend, Fleishia...and after writing that sentence, and looking at what I titled this post....marriage wasn't what I had in mind fyi. Anyways, I took some pictures, misplaced them, and have just now got to them...(and now for the wish part) I need a new computer (and camera lens). I love working with pictures and whatnot, but this lovely laptop just doesn't cut it like it used to. It's been in my life since the beginning...of college. It's at least six years old, with the original programs from the time. It's still running...or walkings...or just totally dragging its feet. But hey, it is about 112 in computer years. At this point it looks like it's going to be about that long until I get a new one, but until then I'll work with what I got. Here are some pictures from the wedding:

Knock Off Night

While walking through the grocery store, Jeff and I noticed a rather tempting product:

We were sure not to pass up some quality food, and declared it "Knock Off Night".
We also found these winners:

I'm all about generic, but after ingesting this...I wasn't hungry, or had an appetite...for a couple of days.
Knock Off Night was fun, but I don't think it's going to stay a tradition.

Is it too late to make New Years resolutions? Cuz I'm wanting to resolve to make at least one meal a day from scratch, and exercise at least 20min 4 days a week. Not HUGE things, but that's why I think I'm going to do it. I just wrote it here, so I'm more inclined to stick to it.
Happy Friday!

Back to Life...

...Back to reality.

I'm back in Idaho, and it's cold. But it looks like the rest of the country is cold too, so that makes me feel better.

I know you've all been wondering what my visit back home consisted of. Welp, here it is:

Gingerbread houses at the Maloney home.

Meeting this little girl. ^

Wrestling these little boys. ^

The kids sledding the same place we used to when we were little. (Ella is awesome)

Seeing a great-grandmother meet a great-granddaughter. 4 Generations.^

Seeing amazing old friends. Here are a couple of 'm ^   (The blurrier the photo, the more fun that was had).

Enjoyed a great New Year's dinner, with great music, and great people (the Maloney's).

Family Journal Jar; Ella's was amazing this year.

Family Dance-Off for Girl Scout cookies.....I discovered my all time favorite game; to play, and even more, to watch.

Ohio was great. I was a little heart broken to have to come back, but once I got here things have been really nice. Work is going well, and life is fun. I was thinking about how I'm more than likely going to be here until August. What made the other places I've been worth while, has been a, I guess, bucket list....Hmmmm, where to start? Trip to Boise, Bear World, grow potatoes...maybe there's more to do here than I thought! I like Idaho, so I want to appreciate as much of it as I can, before it "kicks the bucket" in my life.

Good bye for now, Ohio.

Hello land of snow, and potatoes.
