ONE WORLD ONE HEART- 2010 GIVEAWAY

So, I was doing a little blog hopping about an hour ago, when I found out about One World One Heart (OWOH)! I’m very excited. Basically people around the world have a giveaway as a fun way to find and get to know new bloggers. It starts pretty much right now, so timing couldn’t be better. So, if this is the first time you've been to my blog...
WELCOME.

I decided for my giveaway I would give this khaki and navy blue zipper flower hairclip I made! I think it's pretty cute, and classy.

To be eligible to win each person must leave a comment. When you do, leave an email address or a blog link, so I can let the winner know. :)

This year's event ends February 15th! That means you have until then to leave a comment. I will announce the winner that night.

I've been wanting to have giveaways,
and this is a great way to start.

Good luck!

D.C. in a nutshell

It almost being Christyn's birthday, I thought I'd let her know how grateful I am for all she did for me while in D.C.

She took me to all the great little places I'd never safely find on my own; like this part of town, with a giant picture of me painted on the building:

We even got to celebrate "Festivus for the rest" of us, where we got to "air our grievances":

I "met the prez", and got to spend a little time with my great friend, Jacob.

Christyn and I went to TubaChristmas !!!..for a little while. It's something everyone should do at least once in their life.

I got to explore the city a little on my own, too.

I found pun-ny signs,

and went to museums with some of the greatest things. Everything from Kermit the frog,...

funny signs from the twenties, to THE ruby slippers.

From Asian art with gauges...

big name artists, we art nerds can never get enough of,

to unicorns.

There is always something great about seeing original artwork close up. You can see how each brushstroke (difficult to identify or understand how it contributes, when looked at so closely)

helps to create the big beautiful picture:

Christyn taught me the ways of the metro, and took me anywhere I wanted.
Although I'd take the metro, walking was a must...lot's of walking. My feet were killing by the end of every adventurous day :)

Thanks Chris! Happy birthday, and thanks for everything!

D.C. was the best.

Stolen Story

So, over Christmas I didn't get a chance to take hardly any pictures. Luckily, Bekah (my sis-in-law) has posted about it on her blog here. I think she did a fun job at showing what the Goldies' house is like when EVERYONE is in town. It was pretty great! Thanks Bek!

Ohio to Idaho; to Ohio once more.

I'm home after a long road trip to Idaho.
Jeff and I had a good time driving out...

Other than this place, where I had to spend hours:

I think the only bad thing to happen the whole trip was a 12hr bug
(that left me queezy for a couple days after).
It was cold, snowy, dark, and flat most of the way.

The windmills were about my favorite thing to see.

Once we got to Idaho, Jeff and I spent the rest of the week having fun and getting to know each other more.

That's Jeff on that poster ^

And then, I was on a flight back home.

On the flight I was able to get over halfway through a pretty good book,

As bitter cold and boring as Idaho seemed, I kinda miss it. I stayed with Jeff's friends, Jules and Seve (who were awesome), and saw a few of my friends while out west. It was fun to be around the college scene again, too.

Since being home I've unpacked, done all my laundry, started a couple projects, and have tried to stay busy. Not only is Jeff out at school, but Squishy died today. He lived a good long beta fish life, but he will be missed. I think I'm going to get a plant to take his place, and fill this void in my life.

More pictures from D.C. are on the way, as well as projects.
Back to buisness.

On The Road AGAIN

Before I've even finished sharing about my trip to D.C. another trip has come up...across the country! I'm heading out today for a cross country road trip to Idaho. I'm going with Jeff on his drive back out to school, and flying home on the 12th. It's going to be LOOONNNNGGG, and FREEEEZZZING, but with good company.

The past couple of weeks were great with the family, friends, water parks, presents, food, games, jokes, and fun. I’m going to have to show more of D.C. and the holiday season when I get back, but right now I have at least enough time to share what Jeff got me from Russia:

 I got my Russian hat!!!

2009 I
turned 22
graduated with my BFA
went to UT, CA, Nauvoo, Kirtland, PA, D.C.,
and I'm sure a few other places
made great friends

follow through on all creative ideas
be better every day.
